Core Water Worx Consumer Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how Core Water Worx supplies whole-home water filtration systems, installation services, filter replacements, servicing, and related support to retail customers.

1. About these terms

The seller is 1620 Wholesale Pty Ltd trading as Core Water Worx, ABN 22 657 554 231. References to Core Water Worx, we, us or our in these terms mean that seller.

These Consumer Terms & Conditions apply when you request or accept a quote, pay a deposit, book an installation, place an order, or purchase products or services from Core Water Worx.

Your accepted quote, these terms, and any warranty or product documentation supplied to you together form the agreement between you and Core Water Worx. If your accepted quote contains a specific term that differs from these standard terms, the specific term stated on the accepted quote applies to the extent of that difference.

2. Customer eligibility and authority

By accepting a quote or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, the information you provide is accurate, and you are authorised to approve the work at the nominated property.

If you are not the property owner, you are responsible for obtaining any required consent from the owner, landlord, strata company, builder, property manager, or other relevant party before installation proceeds.

3. Quotes, orders, and pricing

Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless the quote clearly says otherwise.

A quote becomes an accepted order when you approve or electronically accept the quote and Core Water Worx confirms the order. Once accepted, the quoted price applies to the system, package, options, and installation scope described in that quote.

Additional work, customer-requested changes, non-standard installation requirements, or site conditions outside the quoted scope are not included unless they are expressly listed on the quote or approved later as a variation.

Your quote presents the price for the described scope as the recorded selections together with a subtotal excluding GST, GST, and the total including GST. Council registration of the installation, where required, is arranged and completed by Core Water Worx as part of the standard installation scope and is not charged as a separate customer line item.

4. Payment, deposits, and balance

Unless your quote expressly states another arrangement, the deposit is 25% of the final quoted total after all customer line items and validated benefits have been applied, and the remaining balance is payable the day after your installation is completed. Your quote or invoice will show the deposit, remaining balance, due date, and any full-payment requirement that applies to your order. Any payment requirement is subject to applicable law and does not affect rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws.

Where a deposit is requested, it is used to help reserve installation capacity, allocate products and components, and prepare your order. The remaining balance must be paid by the due date shown on your quote, invoice, or booking confirmation.

Your quoted price covers a standard installation as described on your accepted quote. Where unforeseen site complications require substantial additional work, such as limestone, concrete residue, or unexpected rock encountered during the installation, additional labour is charged at $210 per hour. If a complication of this kind is identified, the installer will flag it on site, and Core Water Worx will notify you of the additional work required and the additional cost and ask for your approval before that work proceeds. No additional labour charge will be applied without your approval. If required additional work is not approved, Core Water Worx may need to rescope, postpone, or cancel the installation in accordance with these terms.

If payment is overdue, Core Water Worx may delay delivery, installation, service visits, or filter dispatch until outstanding amounts are paid.

5. Additional cooling-off period and statutory rights

Core Water Worx provides an additional seven-calendar-day cooling-off period beginning on the date your quote is accepted and any required deposit is received. If you cancel within this additional period, your deposit will be refunded in full and no administration, preparation, or cancellation fee will be deducted.

This additional cooling-off period is provided in addition to any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.

If your order is an unsolicited consumer agreement, such as certain door-to-door or telephone sales, separate statutory cooling-off rules may apply. Those statutory rights are not excluded, restricted, or modified by these terms.

6. Cancellation and refunds after the additional cooling-off period

If you cancel after the additional cooling-off period, any amounts you have paid remain refundable except for reasonable direct costs Core Water Worx has already incurred for your order, where it is lawful and fair to deduct those costs.

Reasonable costs may include administration already completed, ordering or allocating products, preparing components, reserving installation resources, or other preparation directly connected with your accepted quote.

Any retained amount is intended to reflect reasonable costs already incurred and is not intended to operate as a penalty. Core Water Worx will explain any proposed deduction before processing the refund.

No deduction will be made where Core Water Worx cancels and cannot provide a suitable alternative, cannot supply or install the agreed system, a site review confirms the system cannot reasonably be installed as quoted, the cancellation results from a failure by Core Water Worx, or you are legally entitled to a full refund.

7. Site reviews and quote assumptions

Your quote is based on the information available to Core Water Worx when the quote is prepared. Where your quote states that a site review is required, the final installation scope remains subject to that review.

A site review may be used to confirm the mains water entry point, available space, access, mounting requirements, pipework size and condition, drainage or electrical requirements where relevant, ground or wall conditions, and other property-specific matters.

If a site review identifies work outside the quoted scope, Core Water Worx will explain the requirement and provide a separate quote or variation for approval. No additional chargeable work will proceed without your approval.

8. Installation dates and access

Installation dates are estimates until confirmed in writing. A confirmed installation date may still be affected by site readiness, product availability, safe access, weather, required tradespeople, or events outside Core Water Worx's reasonable control.

You must provide safe and reasonable access to the property, including access to the mains water entry point and any relevant plumbing, drainage, electrical, or service areas. An authorised adult should be available at the property unless another arrangement is agreed.

If the property is not ready, safe, or accessible on the confirmed date, the installation may need to be postponed. Any rescheduling charge must be reasonable, directly connected to the rescheduling, and disclosed to you.

9. Site conditions and variations

Unexpected site conditions may include damaged pipework, non-compliant plumbing, underground obstructions, unusual pipe sizes, restricted access, unsafe working conditions, missing approvals, or other conditions that were not apparent at the quotation stage.

If unexpected conditions are discovered, Core Water Worx may pause work and provide a proposed variation explaining the additional work required, the reason, any effect on timing, and any additional cost.

Core Water Worx will not perform additional chargeable work first and ask for payment later. You do not have to agree to extra work, but if extra work is required and not approved, Core Water Worx may need to rescope, postpone, or cancel the installation.

10. Existing plumbing and property conditions

Core Water Worx is responsible for carrying out its installation work with due care and skill. Core Water Worx is not responsible for pre-existing defects, deterioration, non-compliant plumbing, hidden leaks, unsuitable structures, or services that were not caused by Core Water Worx.

Installation of a new filtration system may reveal a pre-existing weakness, leak, pressure issue, or defect that was not previously visible. If this occurs, Core Water Worx will explain the issue and recommend next steps. Any repair or rectification outside the agreed installation scope will be quoted separately.

11. Product use, servicing, and filters

You must use the system for its intended purpose and follow reasonable operating, care, servicing, and filter replacement guidance supplied by Core Water Worx.

Filters and other consumable components require periodic replacement. Replacement intervals vary depending on household water usage, incoming water quality, sediment levels, selected system and filters, and other site-specific conditions.

Failure to replace filters within a reasonable period may affect system performance and warranty coverage.

To keep the Lifetime Warranty active, every replacement filter must be installed by Core Water Worx or a technician authorised by Core Water Worx in writing.

If the customer, property owner, occupant or another unauthorised person installs or replaces a filter or changes any aspect of the system, the Lifetime Warranty ends from the date of that work. This applies even where the cartridge is compatible with the system or was supplied by Core Water Worx. Ending the Lifetime Warranty does not exclude, restrict or modify rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

  • Do not tamper with the system.
  • Do not make unauthorised modifications.
  • Do not allow an unauthorised person to alter or reinstall the system.
  • Do not operate the system contrary to supplied instructions.
  • Contact Core Water Worx promptly if you notice a leak, pressure issue, unusual sound, damage, or other concern.

12. Warranty framework and claims

Every new Core Water Worx system includes a Lifetime Warranty Against Defects. Coverage starts on completion of installation and has no fixed expiry while the identified system remains at its original installation property. Existing accepted orders retain the warranty term and conditions originally agreed. The Lifetime Warranty is additional to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

The applicable warranty period starts on the date installation is completed, as recorded on the completion record, invoice, or other installation document. The separate Core Water Worx Warranty Against Defects sets out the covered components and work, claim steps, assessment and remedy process, expenses, exclusions, relocation conditions, and mandatory Australian Consumer Law wording.

To keep the Lifetime Warranty active, every filter replacement must be completed by Core Water Worx or a technician authorised by Core Water Worx in writing. The Lifetime Warranty ends from the date the customer, property owner, occupant or another unauthorised person installs or replaces a filter or changes any aspect of the system. A claim relating to a covered event that occurred before that work may still be assessed under the Lifetime Warranty.

Lifetime Warranty coverage applies at the original installation property. Before relocating a system, contact Core Water Worx to agree the site assessment, removal, transport, reinstallation and any warranty terms in writing. For existing fixed-term warranties, the original relocation conditions and remaining term continue to apply. Nothing in these conditions limits rights under Australian Consumer Law.

To make a warranty or service claim, contact Core Water Worx promptly with your quote or invoice details, system or installation identifier if available, installation address, the issue observed, photos or videos if available, and reasonable evidence of authorised filter servicing. Core Water Worx may ask for further information, reasonable site access, or assessment before deciding whether the claim falls within the Lifetime Warranty.

13. Australian Consumer Law

Our products and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right, guarantee, condition, warranty, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, resupply, refund, cancellation, or compensation where a product or service fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee.

Consumer guarantees are separate from any warranty or guarantee Core Water Worx chooses to provide.

14. Water quality and representations

Water quality and system performance can vary depending on the incoming water supply, local water conditions, household usage, property plumbing, selected filters, correct system operation, and ongoing maintenance.

Unless expressly stated in writing, Core Water Worx does not make medical or therapeutic claims about filtered water or guarantee a particular personal health outcome. The system is intended to provide the filtration functions described in the accepted quote and supplied product information.

15. Liability

Core Water Worx does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful. To the extent permitted by law, Core Water Worx is not liable for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable, results from misuse or unauthorised alteration of the system, results from a pre-existing property or plumbing defect not caused by Core Water Worx, results from the work of an unauthorised third party, or could reasonably have been avoided by following supplied instructions or promptly reporting an issue.

This section does not restrict any remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law.

16. Referral programme and front garden signage

Where a referral promotion is included on your quote, the promotion benefit will be the option stated on the quote or referral record. A 10% discount option applies only to the active buyer's configured Core Water Worx price and is applied before the deposit and balance are calculated. A $300 referral reward option is tracked separately and becomes payable only after the eligible referred customer's Core Water Worx installation has been completed and confirmed.

Unless otherwise stated, the referred customer must be new to Core Water Worx and the referral must be identified before or when the referred customer accepts their quote. Core Water Worx may reject duplicate, incomplete, self-referring, fraudulent, or already-known referrals. Payment details for any cash reward are collected after the reward becomes due.

The referral partner programme is separate from the existing customer and network referral programme. A partner code has no effect unless Core Water Worx validates it against an active partner record. Any validated buyer benefit will be itemised on the quote. Partner agreements, eligibility, fees, and payout status are administered separately and do not create a customer entitlement unless the customer quote expressly records a benefit.

Where you agree to display a Core Water Worx front garden sign, the agreed display period will be stated on your quote. Core Water Worx remains responsible for supplying and removing the sign unless otherwise agreed. Participation in the signage programme must be agreed and will not affect your rights under these terms.

17. System relocation

Compatible Core Water Worx systems may be capable of being relocated to another property. Relocation is not included in the original installation price unless expressly stated.

Any future relocation is subject to assessment of the new property, the condition and compatibility of the existing system, the requirements of the new installation, product and labour availability, and a separate quote.

18. Privacy and electronic communications

Core Water Worx may collect and use personal information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, process orders and payments, arrange site reviews and installations, communicate with customers, manage warranties and service requests, provide aftercare, administer referral programmes, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Core Water Worx will handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and its privacy policy. Customer information will not be sold to third parties.

Core Water Worx may provide quotes, invoices, booking confirmations, notices, and other documents electronically. Electronic acceptance of a quote has the same effect as signing a printed copy.

19. Events outside our reasonable control

Core Water Worx is not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by an event outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, fire, flood, natural disaster, supplier or transport interruption, utility outage, product shortage, labour or contractor unavailability, government action, or public emergency.

Core Water Worx will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the delay. Where the installation cannot be completed within a reasonable period and a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, you may cancel and receive a refund for products or services that have not been supplied.

20. Changes to the agreement and general terms

Any material change to an accepted quote, installation scope, or these terms must be agreed in writing. Updated standard terms will not retrospectively replace the terms applying to an existing accepted quote unless both parties agree.

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. The parties submit to the courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in Western Australia. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply.
